Douro Valley, Coa Museum with Rock Art Sites & Medieval Castle Tour
Côa Valley is considered one of the most important rock art sites in the world and the most significant Paleolithic open air rock art site dating back to 22000-10000BC.
En route to the the UNESCO Foz Côa Archaeological Park and Museum, we will get to admire breathtaking landscapes surrounding the famous Douro River as well as visiting small villages before your arrival to Foz Côa. Get ready to be "wowed" as you visit the museum and park (in a 4x4 Land Cruiser!).
Option of having a traditional Portuguese lunch at the museum OR continuing to an award winning winery for a tour of the estate complete with a wine tasting only before indulging in lunch, wonderful food paired with the estate's wines, a gastronomical highlight!
On our return trip we will drive through a historical village where you will get to explore a medieval castle, stroll the streets and take in the local atmosphere.
Relax on the scenic drive back to your origin.
(Option of returning to Pinhão/Regua by train).

b) Visit to Côa Museum and one rock art site in the park with a traditional Portuguese lunch at a winery with a tour and tasting: 55€/person.
Optional train ride (Pocinho – Pinhao or Regua): 5€/person

This tour is not available on Mondays or if the water level of the river is too high (subject to final confirmation upon booking). The tour of the park and winery is in a 4x4 Land Cruiser. Departures from Porto are available, an additional 200€ will be added to tour price. Tour can be customized based on guests' requests. Tour subject to change based on weather, traffic conditions, holidays, etc. The order of sites visited may vary based on the guide’s discretion.

*Note: If travelling on a cruise ship which does not dock for some reason, a full refund will be made.
